About Me

Hi! I'm Pamela Mangus.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) located in Lynchburg, Virginia, and practicing telehealth in Virginia and Florida. I specialize in complex trauma recovery, nervous system regulation, and deep internal integration. I serve clients who are physically located in Virginia or Florida at the time of each session.

For years, I have walked alongside individuals who feel exhausted from living in a chronic state of survival. My passion is supporting people who are ready to move past simply analyzing their pain out loud and instead want to explore the deeper, non-linear landscape while honoring your journey.

My Philosophy: There Is Nothing to Fix

We live in a culture that loves quick fixes and predictable paths. But human systems are complex. The anxiety, perfectionism, or sudden numbness you experience aren't broken gears in a machine; they are creative responses to what you have survived.

Because your story is entirely your own, I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. I treat your mind, body, and internal parts as a shifting, living ecosystem that knows exactly how to heal when given the right space, pacing, and support.

Tending the Path Together

Healing is an uncharted expedition. I bring a warm, deeply compassionate, and nonjudgmental presence to our sessions, ensuring we never force open a door before your system is ready. My goal is not to lead the way as an absolute expert, but to walk beside you as a collaborative guide, helping you cultivate a safe, peaceful internal home so you can transition from merely surviving to authentically living.

Away From my Chair

When I am not working with clients, you can usually find me playing or cuddling with my dog, exploring a local trail, enjoying sunshine and flowers on the porch or in the yard, reading a book, and savoring specialty coffee.
